Do Athlon XP 1700+ show up in My Computer as 1700?

My Athlon 1700+ XP shows up as 1.1ghz, whats up with that? Is there something wrong here?

Sounds like you have your FSB set to 100mhz instead of 133. You'll want to correct that, probably by simply using the bios.

Do Athlon XP 1700+ show up in My Computer as 1700?

Technically they shouldn't up as 1700 either but rather as their actual MHz. Using the PR rating in the BIOS could be classed as fraud.

They do show up in "My Computer" as AMD Athlon XP 1700+ if your FSB is set to 133 MHz. Otherwise, it will show up as a MHz/GHz rating.

I'm not talking about "My Computer", I'm talking about what the BIOS reports it as when the system boots.
