Do Asics running shoes run "large" as in "over size" like Nikes?

I'm considering purchasing some Asics running shoes online. Problem is that I'm not sure what size to order.

I'm usually a Nike guy; Nikes' run large and I take an 11 1/2 Nike, but usually an 11 for all other brands.

Do Asics run "large" like Nikes do? It would be a PITA to send them back.

No. I wear 13's and Asics 13's were too small for me.

Oh man...so you're saying they run SMALL? Now I'm really confused as to what size to get!

It's been a while, but my preferred shoes were asics... I wear a 13 as well, and the last few pairs started running smaller and smaller on my feet...

From what I'm getting out of this, you have to get Nike's larger than your normal shoe and you have to get Asics larger than your normal shoe. Isn't that what you are both saying?

Asic wearer here. I got measured as a 10 1/2 4E and I can buy sneakers online now because the last 3 pairs of Asics I've worn have all been 10 1/2 4E and fit perfect.

Well....ah, yeah, I guess it is! I didn't get it at first...I'm a bit slow today.

i find asics to be wider and shorter while nike's longer and narrower. but i haven't bought running sneakers from either in a few years.

i used to have some asics...they do have some wides, just like most brands...

i wear all new balance now....they run a bit bigger than my previous shoes...used to wear a 15-16 adidas...now i wear 13 new balance...
