seems like a great way to deal with mp3's. burn 'em into a cdrw. when you want a new lineup just reburn. surely someone is selling this. help!

My roomate has a Rio Volt that reads mp3's right off cd-rw (in raw form, mind you, you don't have to convert to .wav files)

it's pretty cool

edit: they run about 100-150 at circuit city or you can find them on the 'net

i'm not a fan of the sony discman technology. it's been an invention seeking an application for years. besides it doesn't have the huge storage of a cd-rw. but thanks anyway.

next year: dvd music walkman. talk about storage!

what are you talking about? are you really trying to say that a cd player has been seeking an application for years? say what?

or are you talking about minidisc? but then, they still have 74-80 minutes of audio storage....

sorry, seems i've got my terms mixed up. i'm referrng to the sony minidisc that's been around for so long looking for a use. didn't realize the discman was a cd-r and cd-rw.

I think he mean's "plays mp3 CD-R's". In that case you should get the Rio Volt. Any CD player plays cd-r's, only some play mp3's.

Do you have any more onfo. about the Rio Volt sohcrates? Sounds like a preaty good little CD/Mp3 player. I would love to have one of those... I have been looking at getting one of those Creative nomad jukeboxes... but this sounds better and a hell of alot cheaper!

The site!

I found this site... this little thing is amazing! There are 2 models of this, the SP90 and the SP250. I have to say that the SP90 is very well priced. I am hoping to find someone in Australia who is importing these.

Does anyone know of any resellers of Rio products in Australia?

guys he means cd-rw as in rewritable, not minidisc not plain cd-r but re writable discs! (deeeeep breath breath in breath out)
