I hate Verizon. :(

I've been putting off wiping and installing the leaked Lollipop release for my Z3v.

I got 6.0 yesterday on m Z5 Compact. ~1.2GB OTA download. Took like 20 minutes in total. Everything is smooth, battery life looks to be even better. I need to get used to the new DND mode (for whatever reason I can't auto-disable it with the first alarm).

I'm excited that Verizon finally pushed 5.1.1 to my Z3V. Damn it's nice. Can't wait until they release Marshmallow.
I'll be on a new phone by then. I'll have to see if this version resolves a few problems I had before, if it doesn't, I'll be looking into any way to manually root and upgrade from this version.

Ha! I gave up on my Z3V long ago. It has a double whammy. 1. Its a sony phone and 2. its on Verizon. 2 companies that are the worse offenders of updates. Hell, i'm sell my Lgv10 and going S7 edge on tmo because I hate VZW so much.

Yeah, but it is a damn nice phone, and incredible reception. I thought I would have worse reception with any phone other than Motorola, because my Motorola phones have all had better reception than basically everything else, but I get stronger 4G reception in what is typically an absolute deadzone than my past Moto phones, and definitely better than everyone else at that area. I love that. :D

I'd like a little more comfortable of a phone, but I haven't seen one release on Verizon that I've just been dying to get. I'll upgrade eventually but I'm in no rush. I used to be crazy about the latest and greatest phones, and always having the latest ROM and root tools, but I've gotten by just fine and don't have to worry about buggy ROMs and firmware and the thing just works. It could be more comfortable in hand, Sony went with that damn slab of glass approach so I also have to contend with a minimal TPU case so my clumsiness doesn't get the best of the phone, but it doesn't add excessive bulk.

Just got it on my Z5 compact yesterday. Hoping it solves some of the nagging issues.

It has made my phone nearly perfect. I have been desperately wanting Smart Lock because the application Smart Unlock worked but it was just that, an extra application. Having it built into the OS is outstanding.

I do miss the ability to use a wifi network as a way to set the unlock, that was a nice feature of Smart Unlock. But Smart Lock in Lollipop has GPS location so that's at least something.

Plus it fixed a nagging issue I had: in my car I use bluetooth for music. My last phone it worked just fine, but until Lollipop the Z3v never showed the song info on my head unit. It would usually show the very first song but never update so I could not tell what was playing without looking at my phone. But now the head unit displays the correct info so I can skip and just look at it instead of the phone to see what's next! yay. It's the little things in life. :)

And in general, I love the new UI, I love that now a phone call doesn't completely interrupt whatever you are doing, instead just making a small dialog at the top of the screen if you are in anything other than the main home screen.

im still waiting for it.....
but android is open sourced. Go take a few weeks course in java then you can go to cyanogenmod website and port a marshmallow cyanogenmod OS to your device yourself.
