Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out made me teary eyed once, but I was already feeling really sad at that time

I don't cry all the time when I hear these songs, but when I do feel like crying, I listen to these songs.

Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Nirvana - Dumb

i've been brought to tears by both sigur ros and early smashing pumpkins stuff. both were under the influence of...er... "things," and the sheer beauty of what i was hearing was overwhelming.

Sometimes when I'm hungry and hear the In and Out Burger song on the radio, I begin crying like an ATOTer's first sexual experience.

Weezer - The World Has Turned and Left Me Here

Reminds me of an ex-girlfriend from way back... one of the (many) relationships that I detonated by being a dumbass... ;)

The Eagles - The Last Resort
Barry Manilow - Mandy
Billy Joel - Goodnight Saigon

methinks you mean Harry Chapin.

For me, its a haunting rendition of "Cherry Tree Carol" by the Celtic musicians Baltimore Consort. The female soloist, who's name I believe is Custer LaRue, is simply breathtaking to listen to. It is not a sad song, but her vocals brings tears to my eyes in sheer emotion that comes across in this music. Very difficult to explain; if music is a form of emotional communication, then this surely qualifies for me.
