Do any of you use a filing cabinet?

I do, but im not sure why..i should just switch everything to electronic statements and store the other ones at my parent's house for the necessary 7 years. My filling "cabinet" is more like a filing box, easily portable (but then again I move a lot).

Mine looks exactly like that. Then again they all do, don't they?

They work well. I suggest alphabetization.

I don't have that many documents/bills to keep up with so I just went with a 2 drawer $20 metal one from walmart.

I use a couple 4-drawer Hon cabinets that I picked up at local company's bankruptcy auction. In fact, that's where I recommend you buy them if you're not in a hurry. They can typically be had for $25-$30. Sure beats paying $150+ at an office store. Sadly, given this economy, bankruptcy auctions shouldn't be too hard to find...

We have one that's 2 high and 2 wide where the drawers go all the way across. Don't remember which office store we got it from but it's black and looks nice. It's out in our main room and matches our desks and such. The metal ones are just ugly and are fine if you keep them in the basement or something. 🙂
