Do any of you tinkering packrats happen to have a 12 - 60RPM geared motor laying around?

Well, I lost the auction, lol.. So I'm still looking.

This is what I was going to buy.

Nothing particularly special about them, except the nice 3-screw adapter on the shaft! It would've been perfect. It's really my only hangup. I could use any old motor, but most of them come with no usable shaft adapter.

Those things look almost exactly like the typical power window motor, except they are 24VDC and instead of a sprocket on the shaft, they have the 3-screw adapter thingie.

If anyone has seen a power window motor with a similar attachment on the shaft, I'd really like to know the make and model of the car.

I've been trying to make out the information on the tag visable in the pic, but I haven't been able to so far. Does anyone recognize that logo?

All I know about them is they were made in germany... lol

I've found something on eBay that should be nice. 65RPM @ 24VDC .. going to run them at 12VDC, hopefully that will give me about 30RPM.

And the motors come with shaft adapters, that's probably the most alluring aspect.. lol.

My '88 E-150 has nearly that exact motor in it (actually a bit larger). I can't imagine it being used for constant duty though. The reason I know is, I had to replace the brushes in mine this summer.

Yeah, it looks exactly like the window motors in my '92 GT.

I can use any old low RPM motor really, the issue is the shaft coupling.

I guess I could get a motor and go from there ....

Ok, instead of rock tumbler.. think rotisserie.

But yeah, a rock tumbler is the nitty gritty(no pun intended.....lol) way to polish rocks to a mirror shine. Generally, you polish pretty rocks like agates and such.

What the fsck would you call the adapter that is on the output shaft of those motors I linked to on eBay?

I can't find anything like that anywhere. Shaft flange? Shaft adapter flange?

Yeah. None I can find have anything like that. It wouldn't matter if I knew how the gear was attached to the shaft.. If the shaft is threaded, inside or outside.. that would be acceptable.

Those aren't power window motors, though... unless there's a car that uses a 24V system. I don't know what they're for Hmmm.
