I was listening to George Norey last night and someone called in mentioning not seeing bumble bees anymore. I've actually noticed this myself. I haven't seen a bumble bee in a long time now. Maybe more than a year.

Saw a bunch around here (Central Illinois) a couple of weeks ago when the blossoms were on our apple trees.

Ya know, come to think of it I haven't really seen any of them except for one the other day in some tall grass in my back yard.

I saw one this morning.... I've been mowing my lawn so frequently there haven't been any of those flowers they like spawning up yet. I'm trying to figure out how to keep them from showing up.

The first casualty of global warming...maybe this isn't so bad then. :D

They're everywhere in Westchester, even have a few nesting under one of the windows in our apartment.

Bumble bees are cool. I see them this time of year around the patch of flowers at my parent's house. I don't know why anybody would go out of their way to kill them. They sting, but they aren't aggressive like yellow jackets.

I see them every single day outside my window as I'm going into my house. Also in MD.
