Married. Neither of us had sex until the wedding night. Have used a condom a few times just for the heck of it. (She had gotten KY and condoms as a pre-wedding present to be funny). Its better without a condom for sure, but condoms arent that bad!

She uses the patch. 3 times a month vs 30 times a month = less chance of oopsie!

No side affects so yay.

As my sexual self restraint is not very good I'd have to say the pullout method (which I have resorted to a couple times) is worthless and has caused me a more than a few sleepless nights (btw this is all with my wife). The difference in feeling while great is betrayed by the absence of a good climax, so its a tradeoff. The pill was my favorite method, but she's no longer on it and I'm back to condom or pullout.

As to the original question the only person other than my wife that I have slept with I used a condom. But before we were married we had condomless sex a couple times, while she was on the pill, which I guess was technically unsafe as I knew she had a previous sexual partner, yet also knew that they had used protection so I guess it was safe after all.

wtf... didn't any of you ever take health class in high school?

I bet you live one exciting life, bubble boy.[/quote]

I'm happily married... those things don't concern me any more. I'm just pointing out that there's no such thing as safe sex, since apparently a lot of you don't realize that.

FYI for those talking about the pill and pulling out: safe sex refers to disease prevention, there is no pill or pulling out that would protect you from HIV/AIDS or any other STD.

In that sense, then no, I do not. However, I fully trust my g/f, we are both disease free, and she doesnt cheat on me, so I'm not scared of her contracting anything. However, if I dont have that level of trust that I currently have, then yes, I put a rubber on. To not do that is just...dumb.

Seriously. It boggles my mind for guys who don't. Because of my religious upbringing (Christian) it is usually frowned upon. But I'm starting to question it because it is just a human nature. But then again human nature came from original sin so it is wrong.

But let's not turn this into a religious thread, stay in the sexual topic.

Is there GUYS who doesn't? (or know) If so why not and what is the reason?

Please serious responses only.
Do you speak English?

According to you:

Safe sex is frowned upon by Christians
not practicing safe sex IS human nature
human nature is wrong

I won't start on the grammar...

I admit, there have been a few times when I've resorted to the proverbial 'pull-out' method, albiet it is still relatively safe if you do it properly. Here's a grand tip for any of you who have never had sex without a condom: DON'T!!! You will never want to go back. 🙁 - Brett

I do the same method, and I agree.. start with safe sex, dont have unprotected.. this man is right! (never wanna go back)

Does involuntary abstinence count?

it counts as involuntary abstinence....not as safe sex

and how isnt it voluntary? chastity belt? unwangified? live with your grandparents in the middle of nowhere and dont want a cow?

The obvious ignorance of most people in this thread regarding the risks of STD transmission and pregnancy is astounding.

I am an old guy, 41, and single. As a child of the seventies, I had little need for condoms in my youth.

I now use them. All the time too. Modern birth control doesn't seem to be what it once was. At least as far as the pill is concerned. In the old days it didn't matter if your gal forgot to take it a couple times a month. Now they have to take it everyday, at the same time.

I tried many of the brands out there and like the Kimono brand best by far. Still not as nice as bareback, but I can sleep nights. 🙂

you are right, people dont have the side affects they once did. My girlfriends mother had like 3 miscarriges after she got off the pill. Many of her friends had the same experience as well. Today the dosages are lower and more fined tuned to the woman...if this means having to take it a certain time each day, so be it. But when she wants to have a baby, she can.
