Do antidepressants cause memory loss?

I heard that antidepressants cause memory loss, is there any truth in this or is that just something that someone made up? Cause my doctor thinks I should start taking them, but I am worried about the memory loss thing.

Depends on what type. Common SSRI's(Zoloft, Prozac and such) common side effect include decreaes in libido and I'm sure thats the last thing you want being a young guy you are.
