Do Americans wear the poppy on Nov. 11, Remembrance Day?

In Canada, the Royal Canadian Legion distributes them for us to wear so that we never forget the sacrifices the veterans have made for our freedom.

You see old vets selling them (they're more like donations) for $1 outside stores and stuff.

No disrespect but Im on some really good pills. I read Poopy. Im like wtf would anyone wear poop?????? And least of all to remember a vet :eek:
I did want to see what this Poppy was but for some reason that site just will not load. I waited over 3 min and I get nothing :(

i was wondering what those were when i saw some canadians wearing them this past weekend...I was at a hockey tournament and a good amount of canadian parents/coaches had those on.

November 11th is Veteran's Day in the US. I don't recall the poppy or the thing you have in the picture being associated with Veteran's Day.
