Mr Chicken is correct. The main cause of why you see it more on older people is the drop off in testosterone as we age.

A good natural way to fight the drop off in testosterone is to lift weights. You can also have testosterone treatment, but that's not without side effects.

The best thing to do to combat man boobies is do cardio to stay in shape... keeping fat stores to a minimum, and lift weights regularly to build muscle and increase testosterone.
