Keep in mind, that when DDR boards were just hitting the market, DDR came in just two available CAS settings, CAS 3 or CAS 2.5, and the BIOS settings reflected this. I'm sure that the newer chipset boards probably allow for CAS2 settings straight out of the box without needing to flash the BIOS, but is this also true of the older first-generation DDR boards, like the KT266 and AMD761 chipset boards?
