Do all current commercial SSDs support a proper "secure erase"?

Just wondering. Do all current SSDs, do a true "secure erase" (erasing all of the NAND blocks, including non-user-accessable areas) when given the command, or do some of them cheat and only erase the mapping table?

Just wondering about the privacy aspects of getting an SSD. I might just wait until Intel comes out with encrypted RAID. I saw something in the BIOS of an ICH10R board, that indicated that some RAID could be encrypted, but I haven't seen it in person. I'm curious if anyone has messed with that and gotten it working, and whether or not it works with the boot drive.

I'm don't think I've ever messed with an SSD that actually does to a proper secure erase. In my experience, the command has always returned instantly, which indicates to me that it's just putting all of the flash pages back on the free list.
