I used to spend a lot on hardware and gadgets. But since now I'm planning to save for a house I haven't bought much past year. I even forced myself not to buy the Dell 2001fp. I was sitting in my shopping cart waiting for the deal over so I can move on with my life.

Ever since I got married my computer spending has gone down drastically.

I have not spent that much at all on computer stuff lately as I'm not working nearly as much as I was before now that I'm in school. During the summer I may upgrade but I think what I have now will last a while for me.

In the last 2 years I've spent $65 on an 8x DVD +/- burner. $60 on a 120 gig HD, and $15 on an optical mouse for my computer.

I used my P3-933 for almost 3 years before upgrading to a P4 3.2 GHz in December. I also live well below my means in general: 8-year old 32" TV set, 3-year-old stereo receiver (10 year old one in the home office).

As you get older, buying toys to be cool seems more and more pointless :)
