How can I change my DNS? This week my ISP DNS Servers have been really slow, I want to change my DNS server, can you tell me how to do that, I?m trying to do that but in my router isn?t any place in which I can change that. But I also need to know the IP of a DNS server, if you can tell one or if there is a place in one search for one, I will be glad and if I try using ping command and failed using that protocol what is that mean? I already tried with this one: 4.2.2.2; found it in a post.

If you are running XP client computers in a Workgroup environment, you can simply change the TCP/IP properties of your network adapter and manually set the DNS Server address. It only takes a minute or two.

Ok, where do I find a DNS Server? And how do I check if my ISP let me use a different ISP without calling them?

If you can ping 4.2.2.2 then you can access it. Start > My Network Places > View network connections > Right-click: your LAN adapter > Properties > TCP/IP Properties > set up to two DNS servers manually
