I've got an odd DNS problem at my company. We host numerous websites using GSLB across 2 internet providers that terminate in to the same location, same server, etc.
We have one site (and only one site that we know of) that customers are experiencing lookup failures on, on a fairly frequent basis. Here's the kicker: OpenDNS, Google, and numerous other large DNS providers resolve it 100% of the time.
We've experienced customers on Verizon and Comcast having the majority (if not all) of the failures. After switching a couple of them to Google's public DNS servers, their problems disappear.
Obviously, I can't tell every customer to change to OpenDNS/Google, especially if they are in a enterprise environment where they rely on DNS records internally, but i'm running out of ideas.
