DNS Question

Hope this is the right forum...

I try to access a site and I time out.
I go to my wifes machine which is right behind me on our wireless network and she can connect.

I am on Vista Home Premium and she is on XP Pro.
But, this happened before I upgraded to Vista from XP Pro also.

Why would one machine connect and not another?
I am an Admin on the site and I can't connect through my personal account or my Admin account.
It isn't AT. 😛

Strange.. Are both computers using the same DNS servers? Does your router have the latest firmware?

Same DNS service (Treewalk) and no on firmware.

Have you tried an nslookup from both machines to see if they are using the same DNS server settings?

have you checked the hosts file on the one that won't connect?
