Just got my DSL activated here and within an hour or so of use, web pages refuse to connect. Everything would be working fine until suddenly, I can't connect to a site or ping it at all. I would just get a message along the lines of "this page doesn't exist" ..
if I disconnect and reconnect, it doesn't fix it. If I reboot the system and reconnect, it works fine.

Using WinXP prof and the built in PPPoE

Your best bet is to contact your service provider. I have SBC DSL and had to call customer service (my DSL is great, they goofed my bill) and there was a menu option refering to lost/dropped DSL connections with Windows NT, 2000, or XP. I don't know if this is a SBC specific problem, some setting with NT based OSes or what. Again, my DSL connection is and has been fine and I use Windows XP. Basically though, I think there are too many things that could be the problem that your best bet is the provider. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
