Those of you who outsource your DNS hosting, who do you use?

I've been using Zoneedit.com forever and have been happy with them but lately I've had some customer service issues.

We have 12-15 domains currently.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

We use DNS Made Easy. Love, love, love the service. We use it primarily for the DNS and server monitoring (A record failover) aspects. Prices are very affordable and their feature sets and performance match the other providers that are much more expensive (read: Dyn).

We have the business plan which is $60/yr, provides up to 25 domains (can purchase more if needed) and up to 10m queries per month.
 
DNS is so easy, I would just do it myself. Once you figure out a single zone then just use as a template for any other zone. One zone per domain.

I agree, it's technically easy. But we are a small shop (me, myself, and I) I just like the convenience of letting someone else handle it. I can still manage all the records myself. I also think it will be more reliable that way versus being hosted over our Comcast Business cable connection.

One less server to maintain, 1 less open port, and more stable.

To update the original post. Zoneedit pissed me off. I was having trouble with their payment system. I was trying to give them money and they didn't seem to care that it wasn't working. They haven't responded to my last email from the 9th. So I yanked all my zones back to my registrar for the time being and I'll decide if I just want to leave them there or pick another service.

I completely agree. I discovered DNS Made Easy through a thread on a web hosting forum, where I was looking for best free DNS, mostly because I was not ready to pay for managed DNS service. Someone mentioned DNS Made Easy as a high-level, low-cost managed DNS option, so I tried out the thirty day free trial. I have found it to be a most convenient service and the pricing is kind on the wallet 😉
