The more appropriate question is whether or not AOL works with AOL.. :)

He may have to manually fetch and flush while he is online if the client is unable to detect the connection, but other than that it should work fine.

I beleive that someone posted a while ago that the latest dnet client and the latest AOL did work fine together. Make sure he has the latest of both and you shouldn't have any problems with automatic detection of the connection.

Some people have used a scripting host to automatically execute a dnetc.exe -update command when it is known that the user will be online.

Let us know if that new Dnet client works out for detecting a connection. An additional Gig of Athlon will be a great addition!

The latest Win32 clients now use Winsock2 for their connections, meaning they're fully AOL 5.0 and up compatible. As long as you have your client set to detect all types of connections, you'll be fine.:)

Apparently some version of the client and some version of AOL are working fine together. We have an AOL eMail address that's been flushing to TA Cube for the last couple of days, and looking at the pattern, it appears that's the client is doing so automatically.
