DMZ question

I know that DMZ exposes a computer but can someone using DMZ play internet games while another person under the firewall surf the Web?

how does dmz work? i dont fully understand this.

i am a serious gamer, and i have 3 computers i like to game on. however, my firewall is like mega-protective and i cant play counterstrike with 2 computers at once. when i sign on one it works, and when i open the other it kicks the first one off and continues playing. they are both under different cd keys, but still no worky! someone told me i need to make 1 of them a dmz host and then it will work, but i tried that and once again..no worky! any help is greatly appreciated because i need to play games!!!!

on the router manual, a game that 2 people want to join has to be the same cd key in order for it to work. It may vary for different routers.

I can't have more than one computer either when gaming using the linksys router. Still haven't found a solution.

DMZ = Demilitarized Zone

Pretty much, while your router closes the ports down on all your connections, it reserves one connection to be open and free. It gives you a lot of versatility on your network if you wanted to segment your network or take over the world or whatever...
