From what the news said, basically dmx and the other dude went upto the guy posing as federal agents. The guy got suspicious and called the 911. Cops came and arrested them.

OK.. this is one of those things I'm REALLY confused about.. don't these people make MILLIONS of dollars.. and they're trying to jack cars?? how stupid is this, this is just as stupid as when Winona Rider went out and Shoplifted.. I mean seriously, they could buy like anything they want and they're out trying to steal stuff? maybe they should leave these acts for the poor people.

I am sure DMX just had an argument with the guy, so DMX wanted to scare the sh!t out of him by acting as a federal agent.
The cops just slapped him with attempted robbery so they can put DMX to jail for some time.
