Not quite. Its more silimliar to shrooms, only it lasts about an hour rather then the 4-6 hours that a shroom trip lasts.

A Light dose of DMT is about 10mg and a strong dose is about 50mg. It hits you fast and hard, and lasts for an hour. If you are interested in taking this I strongly suggest having a sitter, the same with any other psychoactive.

The smoke is harsh, like breathing in fire, and tastes like burning plastic (smells about the same too).

Your perception of time goes out the window. Its a pretty immersive drug, but not like shrroms + LSD. There is a similiar sensation to salvia (salvia gravity) at the begging of the trip. Open eye visuals and color shifting are common.
