.dll problems clean hardrive

Ok, heres the deal.
I just installed a maxtor 40gig 6L04 hardrive, and freshly installed win ME. Im already getting .dll errors, what could be causing this?

That's a hard question, and I don't have a definitive answer 🙁 Have you insured your hardware drivers(vid card, sound, modem or LAN, controllers, ect..) are compatable with ME? However, ME does have a memory hole problem that even MS hasn't found a way to fix so have you considered trying a different O.S. to see if the problem persists? Sorry I really "got nothin'"

What .dll error messages are getting? Have you tried use the ME help Troubleshooter( I know it sounds elementary but might it shed some light)
