DLINK Wireless reciever

Hello

For some reason my dad thought a wireless reciever would be a better idea than using a LAN cord and bought me one for christmas.

Ever since, whenever the phone is used the connection drops. Why is this.

Also it is much slower than the old cord despite my low speed internet connection (256).

Thanks

Is your phone a cordless 2.4ghz phone? That would mean the same frequency as your Dlink Router.

You might want to also check for firmware updates on your dlink model.

As long as your phone and router using the same frequency, you will experience this problem. If you both of them operate on 2.4 Ghz, try to change the phone to 900Mhz or 5.8Ghz. Some usefull reading Here
