Dlink di-604 4-port router.

Ok, I followed instrutions to the T from the web site. I DL'd the firmware, when into the 192.168.0.1 interface, browsed to the file, apply, got to the continue button.
I was surfing the site reading over the faqs. After a few minutes I went back to the opend page and hit continue. Got some error message. The site said after to close browser and open new one and log back in. Now its dead.

*****Power light ON but NO Wan or 1,2,3,4 lights. **** Did I shoot my self in the foot!!! It was working fine before, but I figured I'd update for the DHCP server function. This is something I set up for a friends mom. She said it quit, so i took it home and it worked! (she cable, me dsl.) but it worked with NO configuring for me. Until Now! UUGGGHHH!!!!

..X_x.. the ball swiped beneath me and flat on my back again! -charlie browned-

If you've done a factory reset and still get no access, it's time to put it in a box and send it to D-Link, there's nothing you can do with it. :)

Well if fixed it self. I unpluged it and went about my business. And hour later I plugged it in and it works fine. Good little router, but its kinda touchy. You gotta power it up, with nothing pluged in. Add the WAN. Then add the port one. If you dont do it in that order it wont work. Weird. Lets hope it has a longer shelf life than my last linksys.

I have noticed that with the D-Link, you have to power the router up before the cable modem, normally I do it the other way around. I always wondered why... :)
