No, i didn't spill water on my system :disgust: I decided to plug in a fan while the system was running, and the connectors sparked!! Good thing i have my 300w Antec on hand though, it's saving my ass right now. Man, this sucks. Well, the Enermax sound problem is gone now 🙂

I'm really hoping this Antec 300watter will provide enough juice for this system. The only problem is that the Antec is still kinda loud...so guess what i'll have to do once i receive my Panaflo/NMB fans....yep....that's right.... 😱

You should have no problems running your rig with a quality 300w Antec psu.

Thats gotta suck man, those things arent cheap. I'd be happy you didn't fry anything else, and this advice goes out to anyone who works on computers. UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER "BEFORE" YOU WORK ON THEM!!.

ahhhhh man thats got to hurt!!!

you should try to RMA it.. but let them know exactly what happened... whats the worst thing that could happpen... they either replace it or, they laff in your face and tell you to go F*%k your self, never know.. take the risk!!

i always plug in fans and cd drives and stuff when my comp is on, some times it sparks, but nothing ever happens..knock on wood

i guess you are just unlucky

i'd be pissed

<< i always plug in fans and cd drives and stuff when my comp is on, some times it sparks, but nothing ever happens.. >>

crazy......post a message when you finally fry all yer stuff....seen it 3 times.....but seriously...goodluck and please do yourself a favor and stop knockin on wood and start practicing safer measures.!

um.. im betting its not dead.. it would take more than that to kill a psu.

check the fuse in the powersupply, i bet you blew it.

also, did you wait a while after this happens. Ive done this many times before. Just unplug it, turn the psu off and wait 5 minutes. Ususally it works again for me. No idea what thats about....

Static, you have given me hope. I shall try the next time i crack open the case to put replace the fan in the Antec psu. 😛 But anyways, how would i go about replacing the fuse if it did blow?

Plus, the only reason why i'm not OVERLY pissed off about this is that i bought this psu about 1.5 years ago, and i can't remember how much it costed at the time 😛😛😛

You said that the Enermax 431W soundproblem was gone.
Are thoose monsters LOUD? I was going to buy one but I thought it was a silent PSU...

Dude you should know you can not install any kind of motor while the line is on. it's good that you didn't screw up everything.

<< Bad luck...it shouldn't of happened...I can't count the number of times I did this with no ill effect. >>

Yeah inqztive, that's what i was counting on. I didn't know it was one of those things you weren't supposed to do...because it had worked so well many times before 😕
