DJs?

I am looking into getting some turntables to fool around with. Always wanted to give DJing a little try and at the very least I love the sound of vinyl. Sigur Ros + Vinly = Hevean.

Anyone here DJ or have DJ equipment?

I use to DJ from 94-2001 or so. hip hop at first then breaks/DnB. Very expensive habit. Make sure you really want to do it because it?s not hard to throw down 2k just getting started. DJ's are also a dime a dozen so don?t expect to make a reliable source of income of it. Just have fun, its one of the most challenging instruments out there.

Well I found some really cheap TTs that i am thinking of gettign off of craigslist. Then I would need a mixer..so that would prob come to around 300 which is a REALLY good deal. Vinly is so expensive tho.

well serato isnt just software. It comes with hardware that you need..so you cant just..get it.

I have this awesome deal on some TTs....but vinly is going to kill me.

if you're really interested in serrato, look at the new rane mixer. its so badass.

there are so many good TT out now; even though technics are probably still the top, there are other really good ones too.

cd decks are also way cool; f the pioneers and look at the denon dn-s5000. 🙂

I would love serrato or a CDJ..but both are really expensive. A good cdj costs 600+...the same for serato. I just want to test it out and see if I like it. Thats kind of like diving in head first.
