My neighbor's selling some huge realistic floor speakers in his garage sale for $2...he said the only thing wrong with them was the subs being blown out in the two speakers. Is replacing the subs a hard/expensive thing to do? I'm tired of using really sh1tty koss bookshelf type speakers for watching dvds. TIA

replacing a sub is very easy. Just remember bigger doesn't always mean better.

Very easy. If everything else works fine, just replace the drivers. If you ask Viperoni, he'll say Daytons are the way to go. :)

In the low-freq arena, this is usually true.
