What's the situation with the free divx codec these days? I heard it went ad supported about a year ago. thanks.

There's a non ad-ware version now, I believe, but it shows a little watermark on the screen when you watch movies.

I use just use FFDshow for all my divx and xvid needs. It works well.

you can shut off the icon in the config util.
