On top of that, if you attempt to install the plugin the DivX Installer infects your OS with PC Mechanic.

I know DivX is rather long on the tooth - But man what Crap!

If any Member has a work around over this DivX issue, I would be interested for ie11 and FF 43 64-Bit Browsers for a Win7 SP1 64-Bit Ultimate OS.

Looks like the end of DivX Video Sites with mPeg4/mp3.avi(DivX) Video.

I've no clue what this war between Mozilla and Adobe and DivX is all about but I do suspect the NSA has something to do with it in regards to MS Targeting users to UpDate to WinX and 64-Bit Browsers other then enforcement of Telemetry Embedding into a user's MS Win OS for NSA observation and Candy for Advertizing = Breach of Privacy.

I still like that Old mPeg4/mp3.avi Video Format just as well as AVC/ACC. mp4 (FLV-MKV) .

Way to much obtrusive advertizing when it involves mp4 Video with 64-Bit Browsers. Big Money involved - What is happening to QuickTime - They where the breaking ground for mp4. What really bugs me is that most 64-Bit Add-Ons (Extensions or PlugIn's) are full of Candy and will not work unless you spend money.

For this reason I keep 32-Bit FF v28.0 on board restricted to Adobe FP v17.0.0.169, DivX Web Player Add On's with Download Helper v4.9.24.1 and uTube FP v 1.3.1. - If you UpGrade you're in a mess.

AdBlock Plus works great on FF v28.0.

Why do you still need that plugin? What websites? A potato can playback XviD or DivX nowadays.

Try this link at StageVU:

Or this:

See if you can play it with a 64-Bit Browser!

Actually 64-Bit ie10 works for me but not 64-Bit ie11 nor does 64-Bit FF 43 as the DivX Web Player will not load into them browsers.

StageVU is a great site for quality old mPeg4/mp3.avi encoded flics however it's servers are to say the least slow at times where Buffering takes over and sometimes off line as it's an old site but contains a wealth of Classic Flics - Some in verily hi-resolutions but you require the DivX Web Player to stream them - Not saying you can't download them by using the file location link.

Using Waterfox I tried both links and worked but since I have VLC installed it uses that plugin.

I can also confirm that these work with the VLC plugin. DivX had a good run, but there are better options now.

Streaming creaky old pirated films. You may as well find a private tracker that has all those in way higher quality.

escrow4: You're trolling. A 1937 Flic has long run outta of the statue of limitations and if a mPeg/mp3.avi Encoder can preserve a Great Classic flic with quality - All the Best.

It does not follow under the Legal definition of Piracy.

Something of which DivX StageVU abides by, although their volume Band Width is somewhat very SLOW.

Personally, I will use a down load Russian proggy named Net Vampire to grab what I want.

I will use XviD Codec Raw PCM AVI for a Screen Capture @ 30 FPS up to 1440 res or more without a frame drop and encode the Raw capture file to a condensed AVC/ACC. mp4, mkv or Flv file.

Something MS doesn't permit with their Win Snd Card Config.

Getting off Topic - And Members have given me a path.
