Divx problems!

I'm using Xmpeg to make MPEG-4 videos with the DivX codec, but when I make a video, the sound is REALLY quiet compared to the original vob file. I compress it to MP3 format using the Frafenhoofer codec. (I dunno how it's spelled). How do I get the sound to be the same volume as the original file?

dpnt know how to fix your problim cause i use different programs to make divXs. hit up linky great info on makin divxs maby you can find what you need here

It should not really lower the volume but if you are starting with a 6 channel source and ending with 2 then the effect of the mix might seem to give that result. Try Besweet from doom9.org. It can handle auto gain and downmix very nicely. I always downmix 6 channel to Dolby Surround (that is if DS is not also available on the source) since it is the next best thing and is no larger than stereo. Actually sometimes it is best just to keep the original AC3 for the lower channel modes especially when making a two disc'er.

You might want to look at doom9's Gordian Knot guide, the result is much better than Flask/Xmpeg.
