DIVX now does HD

Did they update the codec and mkv splitter, or just their player software?

The last version of the codec I used supported the mkv container. However, a 3rd party directshow filter is required for 5.1 ac3/dts. Last I tried, ac3filter didn't work properly on Windows 7 (could never get 5.1 audio).

Right now everything plays correctly using the 32-bit and 64-bit klite codec packs in Windows 7. I haven't tested streaming MKVs to my 360 extender, though.

I did just test my klite installs and MKVs with 5.1 AC3 (not DTS) audio do stream to my 360 extender. Frankly, I'm not going to fool around with the DIVX stuff because I can't find anything that boasts really significant changes since the last version.
