DivX for Mac, Flip4mac and Perian

I installed DivX for Mac and Flip4Mac to be able to playback divx/xvid and wmv files. However, a few days ago I installed TubeTV, and it also installed Perian.

Should I remove DivX and F4M now that Perian is installed? Everything works ok, but I was wondering if I was necessary to have all this stuff installed.

I have all three of those installed, and havent encountered any obvious incompatibility issues. The biggest thing that I run into is that although Perian supports both XviD and DviX, and there are only so many video codecs, there are far far more audio codecs, and that is where I encounter a stumbling block.

You can keep Flip4Mac and get VLC too.

I have VLC already. Mostly because subtitle support (but now QuickTime has it too, thanks to Perian). It's just that I don't like having several apps that do the same thing.

I've never had any conflicts with the above mentioned software. So, I'd just keep them, rather than risk breaking some type of compatibility.

Wouldn't it be nice if one media application, "just worked?"
