Posted in the software section but no responses yet, please help if you can.

I just installed Vidomi on my new AMD AthlonXP 1800+ system and was looking forward to making a backup copy of a DVD. The result was the DivX files Audio/Video out of sync from the beginning on. What gives?

Now I have had Vidomi installed on my P III system for about a year now (I have backed up around fifty DVDs by now) and I don't think that I have encountered this. I tried converting the same Vob. files to DivX with the P III system and the results were as I expected with no problems,Audio/Video were in sync!

Tnanks.

Your Athlon system should actually encode Divx files much faster and better than a P3 system! The AthlonXP stomps p3 in any benchmark period! I dont think anyone in their right mind can argue the p3 somehow magically encodes DIVX files better than an AthlonXP CPU! I use a 1.33ghz Tbird and it does the job fast and efficently. I am not familar with your program though.

I suggest you use Xmpeg 4 and Divx codec 5.0 to encode .vobs to divx! If you are getting out of sync audio you can use different utilities to sync the audio. www.digitaldigest.com I believe has audio syncing freeware.
