BTW, make sure you navigate to the beginning of the credits via keyframes. This makes sure that you can play the AVI once you've chopped it. This is why some downloaded AVIs won;t play when they are cut off.

Download VirualDub and use the Help file. It's super easy

make sure you have it set to Disc-at-Once before trying to overburn.

it won't let you overburn if you have it set at Track-at-Once.

then when it bugs u it'll ask burn anyways:p

u can easily go up to about 718 minimum on most cdrs easy.

Burn it as Video CD. A CD can fit more than their rated capacity(650 or 700) in video cd or audio CD mode since data correction integrity is reduced in favor of extra capacity.

>I'd advise against compressing it into a zip or rar file. You'd have to uncompress it each time you want to watch it.

I just wanted to add that you don't compress it but still use winrar it and select 'store' in other words no compression.

I normally record 2hr shows that end up being 1.2 Gigs I use winrar to store them into two 655Mb chunks which takes about 2 minutes.

If you compress I agree it will take forever but just store them instead. The downside is that you can't play them off the cd but the upside is that you can password protect them and since winrar is using 128 ASP-Standard good luck in finding a crack for it.

So, what does "store" do?

why would i want to password protect my pr0n? ;) anyways why would you try compressing 1.2 GB? that easily fits 2 cds without it. you can fit atleast 1.4 GB on 2 cds with a little over burning. about 715mb.

>anyways why would you try compressing 1.2 GB?

but that's what I'm trying to say... For example, when I record with my AIW and the result is one file that is 1.2 Gig you just can't easily cut the mpeg in half to have it fit on two cd's so I use winrar and 'store' it into 655Mb chunks.... when you store with winrar it doesn't use any compression so it takes like a minute or so to store the file into the winrar archive, but it has the ability to easily cut the file in several parts so that it can then fit on cdr to be able to burn to cd. When you need to watch it just restore it onto the HD.

The advantages are that you can get much higher quality clips and you never need to worry if the clips you record will fit on cd, you don't need to always calculate bitrates per cd, ability to password protect ect..... If you have MPEGS or Divx that are bigger than cd-r's you don't need to cut and re-encode (which can take quite a while to do) them to have them fit on cdr. The downside is that you just can't watch them directly from cd.

i had to use virtualdub to cut out the opening & ending credit.
