divx codec without gain

The front page at Divx.com has a link download codec only for free just uncheck the player option during install it then works under the Windows media player.

*cough* p2p *cough cough*

If you do much editing, you'll appreciate the encoding ability of the 'pro' codec. Alternatively, XviD is free, and iirc 3viX is as well.

Just disable GAIN.....go to msocnfig and uncheck GAIN in startup, then restart the machine and go to the Divx directory and delete the gain executable. It is that simple.

That'd work fantastic on Win 98!
