Divx 5.0 and Pecks power join?

Anyone know if Pecks power join will combine AVI files encoded with the Divx 5.0 codec properly? Just in case... I don't want them to get all screwed up when I join them... or I would have to go through the couple of hours encoding them again.

Also.. how much better is the Divx 5.0 pro w/ adware version? I only downloaded the free standalone version.. is there any difference in encoding quality and performance?

thanks

If you're encoding DivXs, then you probably have some sort of burner. Just make sure you have backups of your rips before you try. Then let us all know how it goes so we don't make the same stupid mistakes. 😀 j/k man

Hehe.. actually I don't have a burner... on this computer anyway 😛 hmm.. I can't really back them up either cuz the hard drives I'm using on this computer are ancient.. a 20GB drive and an 8gb drive.. they're pretty much used up

copy them and then mess around with the copies. notfred's right ... virtualdub is the way to go. its free too. if you want to edit asf, get v1.3.

<< virtualdub will join them just fine. No idea about the app you mentioned. I've never heard of it before. >>

Where is the option in virtualdub to combine files?? Sorry.. I just started using virtualdub a few days ago.. not familiar with a lot of the options yet
