divider settings on the 8kha+?

i can't seem to get my fsb over 143 even if i drop back the settings on my crucial 2100 ram. i've heard of tons of people setting their fsb to over 160 and even 170, so i think i must be doing something wrong. is there a divider setting that i've somehow overlooked? any other ideas?

You need go into bios and set mem to SPD, not 133 or 100.
This enables the extra dividers.
Was able to go from around 150MHz fsb to 195MHz fsb after setting to SPD.

I heard that the dividers only existed on much earlier versions of the BIOS (~Nov01). Can anybody confirm or deny that?

go over to amdmb.com ...in the epox forum they have all your answers......if you dont find it there check out aoaforums.com.......they have some good info too.

The debate about 1/5 and 1/6 dividers may never end. Seems as though it fluctuates above and below 50/50.
Even Anandtech's review states they exist, and is the reason why many can get 200MHZ (400DDR) fsb.
I guess it all depends on how you do the testing? Test boards can't seem to find them, but an O'Scope did.
As panhead49 says, check out those 2 forums for all the info (debate).

In any event, go into Bios and set memory for SPD.
With the 3/04/02 Bios I was able to get 195MHz fsb.
With the newest bios, 3/23/02(?), best I can do is 180MHz fsb.
But, if mem is left at 133MHz, best I can do is about 150 to 157.
This using PC2700 cas2 ram, and 2 NIC cards.
I have no doubt about the dividers, because both my NICs run fine at 195MHz fsb.
