OK, that's some of the worst stitching on a face I've ever seen, who the hell did that, a flipping veterinarian high on crack?

I worked in ER's for a decade, 99% of the docs I worked with would hang their head in shame over those sutures, most would have called in a plastic surgeon to do the stitching.

They aren't that cheap either, esp if you maintain them properly...just oil cost is about $100 for a change. Most at dive bars aren't spending much more than $10k on a car.

What do you drive?

Do you use that to pickup women? "You should see how much I drop on oil changes baby. The manual says every 5 grand but I change it every 3"

No one would be impressed with your old M3 or its maintenance.

You don't know, an M3 is the bomb. chicks are opening up the door for him when ever he goes somewhere. I wish we could all have M3's, but then alky wouldn't be "special" if that where the case.

dude that happened one time, even I had forgotten it.

Do you keep notes on me or something? I knew a few here that did that for a while.

I don't think it looks that bad up on top, but down below it looks like the sewing got a little creative. It may have been due to being a more blunt object doing the cutting.

When in the hell did you become a surgeon?

When in the hell did a broken bottle become blunt?

That's a hack job of stitching, I've seen many residents do a better job in locations that were less visible. I see people stitched up nearly every day now, and a couple of times a day in the ER, the only place that's acceptable suturing would be if it was a scalp wound, covered by hair.

Damn, didn't know you got your MD and completed surgery residency. Gratz!

Also a broken bottle isn't like a nice sharp knife. Wounds get a bit more jagged, you have to know that.

Personally the most important part of suturing for 'looks' is how the skin is met together.

The top part of the cheek looks like a nice straight and even line as can be.

In the end though, no one can really tell until it heals. It's pretty much a guarantee this dude will be scarred from this.

Also this looked like a shot right after surgery, so swelling, redness and all that jazz abounds.

I'll bet the ER doc drove an M3 though.

They are usually more conservative. Around here is MB's and a few non-turbo/GT 911's.

As far as the last donation link, I have been burned by this when donations were given and the 'patient' just reneged on the hospital and kept the cash.

I understand your concerns and by no means am pushing. Just putting it out there. And while trust lacks on the internet (caution is important), and for what it's worth, this is legit. Any funds not used at the end of the day will be donated to charities. To date, $2,100 has been raised. $1,400 through the app and the remaining from bars doing fundraisers.

M3!!!!!

Wait, this dildo spends time in a dangerous dive bar... gets mixed up in a fight then wants money for it?

There are people with actual problems worth donating for. Stupidity is not one of them.

Wow, that's pretty fucked up.

I hope the fucker who did that goes to prison for a long, long time.

My face isn't very pretty, but if someone fucked it up like that, he'd have to suffer copious amounts of surprise shower buttsex before I felt avenged.

I'm pretty sure he didn't think he would get slashed with a broken bottle like he did. And just because it was a dive bar doesn't mean it's automatically a dangerous place. Any hole in the wall local bar or pub's considered a dive bar. I've been to many dive bars and never so much as even seen 2 people argue loudly. If OP's friend story is true he was the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, how's he stupid for getting caught in a situation like that?

sounds like dudes rolling into a dive bar and claiming something.

I go to dives a lot when traveling (in my rental car)...unless you are pulling out a rolex or driving up in an M3...no one is going to pay attention to you.

HOW DO YOU GET ON THIS THREAD AND MAKE IT ABOUT YOUR M3?

SERIOUSLY??? JHC, dude.

....

OP:
That's a crazy wound. I'm glad your friend is ok, sorry that he got tangled up in some dumb shit.

Yeah most "dive bars" are actually fairly calm places. No college age idiots riling everyone up. Most that I've been to are older folk looking to enjoy a few beers with other regulars.
