OILFIELDTRASH - checkout Justin Darlington, Air Up There, Golden Chyld and TDub .. they all have 50"ish verticals and they're not "olympic" athletes.

When you run the risk of banging your head on the rim during a dunk I think you get my mad props...I was blessed enough to be able to 'grab the rim' back in high school when I weighed in at a "buck 70"

It does not disappear in either of those. At :33, you can see it just behind him on the left side of the screen (his right) in the milliseconds afterwards. At 1:01 you can see it in front of his jersey at about his stomach. Try putting it in 720p for a bit more resolution.
This is filmed on some lower end point and shoot camera or cell phone, so the lines of each frame are recorded top to bottom (making for a jiggle when panning) instead of all at once, so fast moving things (such as a basketball being released after a dunk) can be distorted/not show up where you'd expect them too.
Its not faked

Oh, and impressive dunking skills. Wish I could jump like that

Cranked it up to 720p and I did see the ball at both :33 and 1:00.

It might add 4" at most. Have any of you ever tried jumping and touching a 10' basketball rim? I can touch it from a stop so I guess with an extra 12" from a running start I should dunk.

Do you also run a 4.4 40 (or 1.5 10) like elite athletes? These guys get to top speed in two strides and can redirect with amazing quickness. I think you underestimate how much height can be gained by someone with that kind of burst in their legs.
