That's not ironic.

Well one would expect such a person to be bitter and angry at life (or it could be argued that would be the expectation). To be upbeat and happy is the opposite of the expectation, so, yeah, it is ironic.

No, it is not ironic.

"an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected." or "incongruity between what is expected to be and what actually is, or a situation or result showing such incongruity"

Either definition fits perfectly here, so yes it is.

No, it doesn't.

I think it's even more ironic that Numenorean doesn't think so. Do you feel the need to argue such a stupid point because you can't enjoy your own dance party? It's okay big-guy, we're all here for you.

It is ironic only for those who think happiness is dependent upon self-mobility and agreeable appearance.

Numenorean is correct. It is not ironic. You are wrong. People who have faced real adversity understand that the only approach is to turn things around and have a positive attitude or you get consumed by negativity. Dumb people are the bitter ones.

I think this is false.

I don't get how one can have a positive attitude on, "I am horribly crippled and ugly as fuck. I'll likely never get laid with any woman I ever really wish to have sex with, and all the horrible things that are associated with being crippled are what are going to make me yearn still for a different life where I can be able-bodied." There is no fucking way to turn that shit around and say, "Being a crip is cool, so is being horribly ugly! 'Cause all I want to do in life is sit in a wheelchair and be completely dependent on everyone, also I love not getting laid even though my hormones drive me up the wall - I mean, further into my chair where I am completely alone forever."

Just doesn't make any fucking sense if you're an honest person.

The only reason you think it is false is because you are one of the self loathing whiny little bitches who are always down on themselves. Everything bad that happens to you ends up being a self fulfilling prophecy you create with attitude. You simply changing your attitude would change your life. I sure hope you meet someone in the real world to assist you before it is too late. Just remember that people see you as you see yourself.

Hmmm, interesting. What you described is how others see you, not in physical appearance though but emotionally instead.

I did tell you didn't I . My wife looked at your posted picture and she finds you to be lacking self esteem. Wife says your a fine looking man . She sugjest you think more highly of self and others will see that . This man here has a wonderful spirit and has great self esteem . I see a beutiful spirit here. Looks my friend are only skin deep its whats inside that counts . You would do well to remember this . People see you as you project yourself.
