So I'm listening to the radio in my car yesterday and on comes an ad for a new local BBQ joint... Plush Pig BBQ. Apparently they're "world famous" for their BBQ even though I've never heard of them, but I digress.

The end of the ad is what was disturbing. Their catch phrase....

"You haven't tried REAL barbecue until you've had their meat in your mouth"... using a man's voice sounding all sensual like.

puke:disgust:

Well, seriously, you haven't had real BBQ untill you've had my meat in your mouth....or so I've been told....but hey, I smoke meat for a hobby, not for the money like those bastards 😉

It was probably said in a normal commercial announcer voice and turned into something sensual in your own mind. Don't fight it, you are who you are.

I can't stand when companies think it's going to be witty to use lines like "Bigger really is better!" in what they think is some slick way. I can just imagine the stodgy old men sitting around a table trying to figure out what will make their energy drink appeal to "youngsters," and coming up with lines like that.

I can't stand when people like you have no idea of what the typical ad agency staff consists of, or how ads are conceived.
