Yep, they all died after raping and killing thousands of Kuwaites. No one forced, except maybe Saddam, to be there. I guess they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wonder if the guys that survived will be just as screwed up as some of the Vietnam vets.

Well, that was found out to be untrue.
The people testifying about the killings/rapeings were members of the kuwaiti royal family ...

Either that, or the US remained ignorant.
The US pretended to remain ignorant. Hitlers treatment of the jews was no secret to our govt.

You must understand a few things before you get pissed at the US. First of all, we couldn't do anything about it. Telling the public wouldn't have helped anything. Which brings me to my second point.

If you knew anything about WWI, you would know that propaganda was everywhere. Both sides were accusing their enemies of horrible, horrible atrocities that didn't actually happen, just to get their people more pissed at their enemies. Accusations like raping and killing nuns, cannibalism, etc. were fairly common. After the war, when everyone found out for sure that none of that happened, their governments lost a lot of credibility. Then when WWII broke out, and horrible things really *did* happen, if the governments would have released the information to the public, they would not have believed them. They would have most likely actually made their citizens trust them less. Many officials didn't believe this stuff was happening anyway, and weren't exactly able to go stop it at will if they did believe it.

If you really want to understand anything that happened in WWII, you need to know all about WWI, and a lot of stuff before that, too.

If you thought those images were "disturbing" just imagine what after battle pictures of Verdone would look like.
