Distributed.net not recognizing my email change?

Guys a few days ago I changed my email. My dnetc.ini reads:

I am not sure what is going on, but it's been well over 24hrs. Is it because I am fetching units or something?
 
I just fetched &amp; flushed my work units on (2) pc's..will that do anything?

Is it a good idea to have this in my .ini?

You have to flush with that e-mail address before the blocks will be attributed to it, and I think the e-mail address is written in the blocks as they're cracked, not as they're sent (does d.n still allow block submission via e-mail?). Not sure on that though, it's been quite some time since I've had to deal with that 🙂

Your dnetc.ini looks good to me, although personally i think 1600 is a bit high (but that's just personal preference).
 
Relax, John, nothing wrong. Just wait for Dnet to register your submission.

1600 might be abit high for if it's for a lone machine but it's all personal preference. 800's a good number too cause it'll be finished in a day on your system.
 
The fetch unit threshold is a matter of personal preference but here are some of the factors people have mentioned in this forum:
  1. How stable is your internet connection?
  2. Is it dialup or xDSL/cable?
  3. How many WU's does your machine do a day?
  4. How often will you check the machine?
Many people like to keep 3 days of work on hand to allow for outages. People going off for a few days like to keep enough on hand to cover their absence.
You can always manually flush (or update) the client.
And you can change the &quot;frequent buffer checks&quot; to 3 to have it flush more often than it fetches.
I personally keep 7 days worth of WU's on hand, but many other people have said that they keep 3 days worth on hand.

Ever thought of retiring your old account to the new one (What Russ did)? You get your old blocks credited to the new one. I'm not sure how to do this, but Virge did a Faq on this.
 
Thanks guys. I actually have (3) PC's (1GHz &amp; 2 - 500MHz) cracking away. My email addy that I used is a spinoff of my main one, so that's why I thought there &quot;might&quot; be a problem. After flushing I feel so much better ! <doh>
