I'm now running an X2 4400+ (2.2GHz) at stock (sorry, I'm busy with several projects, and can't afford the possible instability right now) with 2GB of RAM and various other nice things. It seems that SETI benchmarks have been done in the past by some lucky person who gets early access to all sorts of cool shtuff (*cough*Ronin*cough*), but until now nothing for F@H as far as I've seen.

Anyway, it's currently folding two p1477_release31_0 work units, and F@H LogStats is reporting around 375 points per day per unit (this may be a bit low as I've been testing stuff and installing software on the system as well). While 750 PPD, or 5250 PPW, I'm curious if the single core number (375PPD) seems in line with what those of you with 2.2GHz A64's currently get?

My laptop's (1.8GHz, 1MB L2) Athlon 64 3000+ averages about 240 PPD
My desktop's (2.5GHz, 512 KB L2) Winchester Athlon 64 3000+ averages about 415 PPD

Something is obviously wrong with those numbers on the laptop, anyone have suggestions?

The lappie always runs 1.8GHz for sure, it isn't kicking down to 1000MHz or something?

Nope, 1.8 all the time (except when I get crazy and bump it up to 2.0GHz :p).

est. PPD 411.11 - p1477_release31_0 work unit - this is what I show for my A64 3200+ this is a Clawhammer core running @ 2300mhz.

est. PPD 296.69 - p1477_release31_0 work unit - this on my other A64 Newcastle core 3000+ @ stock 2000mhz.

est. PPD 227.07 - p1477_release31_0 - this is for comparison only Socket A Barton core @2000mhz

est. PPD 122.09 -p1477_release31_0 - this is for comparison only Socket A T-bred core 2100 XP @ stock 1733mhz

Nice PPD J :D

For comparison:
My PIII 1.0 Ghz Dell laptop gets ~145 PPD with a 1477 or 1478 WU and ~105 PPD on a 600 pointer

I'm getting ~215PPD on each of my (2) Bartons (2.1GHz) for the 1477 WU.
(RAM is DDR333 :( )
