BBC's Radio 4 in the UK had a 30min program yesterday about DC and the people that do it. It was the second in a three part series. A couple of TA members were interviewed for it.. 😀 We tried mentioning TA a couple of time.. but it didn't make it.. 🙁

At least it was very good and informative about DC and it was really interesting.

I had amdxborg listed but removed it when I got confused by the way he pronounced his name. I swear I heard "Shawn". I know a couple of TeAm mates by the name of Shawn but I know where they live and none of them live in South Africa.

After listening to the entire program I concluded that the "Shawn" I heard had to be "Johan". I had always thought "Johan" would be pronounced: "Yo-Haun". lol

I played Johan's pronunciation back at least 6 times before I realized it was him and that his name, as he speaks it, is more a one syllable word than two. Or maybe it is two syllables but said very quickly it sounds like one (to me).

Anyway, there is one thing for sure. The way "Johan" pronounces his name is the correct way. 😀




(You think all of those shotgun blasts may have something to do with this? My audiologist does!) 😛 😀


 
lol Man this is funny! To be honest, I did say my name a little fast and that is the way I pronounce it in English since English speaking people sometimes has the weirdest pronunciation of my name. It is actually pronounced in Afrikaans like the presenter does but not the -an at the end like man, more like one. So like Yoh-one but instead.. Johan.. lol!! Man I need a couple of :beer:s to swallow all that down!! 😉

Wolfsraider sent me a PM about a British journalist looking for international interview partners. Then a phone call and that was it 🙂
 
I mentionewd the rebel alliance, as thats where the interviewer pm'd me about it. she said she wanted rebel alliance members since we were a small group lol

The interview lasted 30 minutes for me and she only used a few seconds of that lol

I tried to promote smoke and crazee and meagan (she asked why we do dc, she asked who had the biggest influence in my doing dc , but they cut that as well as the tas, team entereprise and ra plugs even removed the team anandtech plug lol

I pm'd some of you and never got an answer, some were unavailable, so I apologize , I looked in my buddy list for folks that were on the forums and gave them time to respond first.

I really wish she would have taken more interviews but it was good to hear we got some recognition.

Thank you for recording it Johan, The voice that threw me the most was Jims lol (christian and I have talked (some program he uses lol bad memory) and I recognized his voice instantly johans was almost exactly as I pictured it lol

someday I may yet again have a small fleet

lol My interview lasted less then 5 minutes.. I also mentioned TA a couple of times. I spoke to Chris before and Mike's voice was also like I imagined it would be. :beer:😀
