Talking on a cell phone isn't good either. Granted I do this too albeit, now with bluetooth to my NAV.

The lady was on her cell when she hit me at 70MPH while I was at a red light. Text

You listen to the radio? 😕

Every morning on that 15 minute drive to drop off my wife at the train station. They usually have phone pranks aired too, but the topic of the day is usually interesting... today it was infuriating. It's not the first time I've started a topic here based on the morning drive.

Last night I was driving on the Kennedy Expressway here in Chicago, and I came up beside (and passed) a girl in a white VW Beetle convertible, soft top up. I saw something glowing inside her car and knew this would be trouble, sure enough as I got beside her I could see she was using her phone, the kind that turns sideways to expose a full keyboard.

With both hands. At 60mph. Not watching the road.

Sure enough, she eventually drifted so far right that she nearly hit me side to side, I knew this because I could see a good portion of her car's right side in my driver's side mirror, and she came awfully close. She caught herself and swerved away, but I laid into the horn and glared at her. She had a scared look on her face as she sped off, weaving around cars to get away from me (I wasn't even chasing her).

^ something as small as that.. an over-correction in steering and it'd be lights out for her and maybe a few other innocents. THINK PEOPLE. I get pissed off thinking about drunk drivers and they're always sorry AFTER the fact...

I hope she's never allowed to drive a car again anywhere.
