on my new jvc car mp3 player..if i turn the bass and/or volume up too high the sound gets all distorted. i figure it's just because of these factory speakers i'm using..but my friend says that installing new capacitors will help. i have absolutely no idea about electronics though..so will it??

No. Your speakers cannot handle the power level. A cap is not going to help you with those speakers.

Cap won't help, they use those for bass management.

Also remember you can't really bump with just speakers. Get a sub.

Throw money at problems to fix them. :p

Your friend is goofy :p

Factory speakers don't handle aftermarked head unit power very well. Cool it on the bass and volume or you'll blow them soon.
Good sound = External Amp and new speakers, maybe a component set = $$$$$

Good luck.
